Another world, is it?

[ The feed comes on to show a young woman's face on the screen, looking at the Gear with an idle sort of wonder. In her other hand is a common, and familiar, handbook, one which she quickly glances back to as soon as the Gear is turned on. Seems like someone is trying to make sense of all this... technical jargon. But it's somehow able to make sense. Somehow.

After several moments of silence, she snaps the handbook closed with a sigh. She brings her attention back to the Gear. ]

Is there even a point to being "the best"? [ Does it involve you going back home? ] The book doesn't mention titans, but how much is this book not telling me?

[ Skeptical? Just a bit for all that the dubiousness shows on her impassive face. ]

I need to find my friends. If anyone knows a boy named Armin-- [ Pause. No, there's too many to list. She glances down to her arm and lifts it up to show the insignia of two swords crossing over a shield. ] If anyone has seen anyone with this jacket and symbol, please inform me immediately.

As for where to go... [ She trails off. She has a journey, but no destination. And the fact that she's alo-- a small roaring sound from outside the screen lifts up her head. ]

... Right. I need to find berries, too. [ I need a distraction. ]

[ Her eyes slide over to said chicken and gives that a pointed stare. ]

He doesn't have a name. [ She sucks at this. ]

[ Fortunately, that's what she was referring to earlier. ]

It looks strong. [ Their "trainer," on the other hand... ]

[ This makes Mikasa glance to her own Pokemon. Her Axew is currently gashing the base of the tree on her right with his tusks. ]

Different species, then. Did you start with him?

Yes.

[ Admitting after: ] He was much smaller.

How long did you train him before he became bigger? It sounds like that happens to almost all of these creatures at some point.

[ How dedicated must she be to be the very best? ]

A few weeks. [ Morgiana is also a slow trainer.

Mostly because she keeps beating up all the Pokemon herself. ] It can happen quicker if you feed it sweets.

Berries?

[ Because normal animals couldn't possibly eat such rare treats. ]

Candy, I think.

[ Berries are common enough though, she nods to indicate that. ] Sometimes berries.

That's good to know. I don't have anything like that on my person right now.

[ Time to exercise those tree climbing abilities... ]

They're easy to come by.

... Berries are. [ Not so much candy. That's a treat. ] Sometimes you can use a Pokemon to headbutt the trees to knock them down, but I just do it myself.

[ Pause. ] You headbutt trees?

[ Gosh, what do you take her for? ]

Then you must be really strong.

[ Strong enough to make trees shake and let go of their berries, at least. ]
